I purchased this car to use as a towcar. After towing a large trailer with timber on with the 131R, I found an issue with stopping it, as trailer picked the arse end of the car up off the road under heavy braking. No problems getting it moving ….

So I told my local fiat parts guy I needed a towcar and he suggested a 130 sedan.  He had a guy that had one coming in to see him on Saturday and so if I came down…

That Saturday morning I met a guy who had 2 130 sedans and was more crazy about cars than me. He is still the only person I know who owns more cars than me. After going for a ride in one of his sedans I had to find one.  It took me about a month. The only unfortunate thing about 130’s is most are autos… which really makes it hard to appreciate the lovely free revving V6….

But what an awesome spec…. .3200V6 with OHC independent sus all round and 4 wheel disc brakes …in 1970. I have a original 5 speed ZF dogleg box to fit at some point. But that other guy is still one up on me as he now owns a 130 coupe…..  think it might take me a bit longer than a month…..
